About your initial appointment
How long will it take?
Most appointments will take between 45-60 minutes.
What happens?
I ask that you kindly arrive 10 minutes early to fill out the patient information sheet and privacy consent form. If you’re referred for a consultation and specialist testing, I’ll examine you first, before any tests are performed -- then I’ll send a comprehensive report to your referring GP or specialist..
What to bring to your initial appointment:
Medicare/DVA card
Pension card
Private Health Insurance Card
Referral letter
Recent pathology
Recent X-rays (I’ll let you know when you can take them home again)
Current medications (to be safe, please bring the actual medicines along)
Suitable sportswear (shorts) for exercise testing
Runners for exercise testing
What you’ll be charged:
When you attend, you’ll be given an itemised account for all services provided. Please pay in full, and on the day. This may attract an out-of-pocket charge to reflect the labour and equipment costs involved in our state-of-the-art imaging service. If your Medicare is linked to your bank account, your rebate will automatically be paid to you.
If you are a pensioner, a disability card holder or a Veteran Affairs patient I usually don’t charge you above the Medicare rebate for any investigations. There will be a small gap for the consultation.
Payment can be made by cash, cheque, EFTPOS or credit card.
